Робота «Skin» є дипломною роботою автоки та являє собою оболонку її тіла, розгорнуту на площині. Робота виконана у техніці пап'є-маше і вкрита графітом.
Людина, як істота, що існує, у фізичному просторі, на примітивному рівні сприймає світ крайніми точками свого тіла – шкірою, та нервовими кінцівками, що знаходяться під нею. Якщо людина закриває очі та вуха, та ніс то єдиним зв’язком з навколишнім простором залишаються відчуття – абстрактні імпульси, що надходять до фізичної оболонки ззовні. У такій ситуації, коли головні сенсорні сістеми «відключаються», та ми починаємо сприймати світ лише через абстракті імпульси – виникає внутрішнє запитання – «де закінчуюсь я та починається навколишній світ?».
The artwork “Skin” is the diploma work of the artist and represents the shell of her body. The artwork is made in the papier-mâché technique and is covered with graphite.
A person, as a being which exists in physical space, at a primitive level, perceives the world with the extreme endpoints of its body – skin, and the nerve endings that are under it. If a person closes its eyes, ears, and nose, the only connection with the surrounding space remains sensations – abstract impulses that enter the physical shell from the outside. In such a situation, when the main sensory systems are “turned off”, and we begin to perceive the world only through abstract impulses—arises an internal question—"where is the end of me and the beginning of the world ?”.
